Pastor and founder of the St. Timothy’s Christian Baptist Church. Husband to Dr. Minnie R. Washington who has served in ministry for over 50 years. He transitioned to glory on July 20, 2020. He is the father of Matwaia Isabelle, Carl Washington, Jr., Chris Washington, Pia Taylor, Carmi Flood and Debra Carter. Among his many awards and achievements, Dr. Washington was honored at the 2012 National Baptist Convention USA for his tenure in pastoral ministry.
He is a native Baltimorean, who has served his country and community with honor and pride. Pastor Washington has an appeal to young and old, and has earned the respect of clergymen and women as he preached and taught the Word of God with fervor and compassion.
The impact of his work reaches around the world to communities in Haiti, Liberia, Kenya and Tanzania. He was an encourager and a visionary even after all of these years in ministry, and the St. Timothy’s family enlarges locally, nationally and internationally every year. His life scripture text is Psalm 91 and his testimony about his conversion and miraculous healing ignites joy and hope in others who are facing difficulties. Pastor Washington had a heart for people, especially for widows and children, and through his giving, living and service, many lives have been enriched and restored. He was an author of many books, a living legend with a shepherd’s heart and our preacher for the times we face today.

Since the government has requested we refrain from having a Register Book for people to touch and the potential of spreading the virus to those handling, March Funeral Homes has developed this Portal to allow the friends and family to leave their name and any condolence messages to the family.
